Important Rate Change Notice for IJ-70, IJ-80, IJ-90 or IJ-110 Mailing Machine covered by Standard Edition
If an IJ-70, IJ-80, IJ-90 or IJ-110 mailing machine is covered by Standard Edition, rates can be downloaded electronically into your IJ mailing machine in only minutes!
The new rates are now available for download. You may connect and download the rates at any time on and after Wednesday, April 25th, 2008. Once downloaded, your mailing machine will automatically switch to the new rates at 12:01 a.m. on May 12th, 2008 – the day the new Postal Service rates take effect.
You may connect your mailing machine by going into the ONLINE SERVICES menu on your mailing machine and placing a GENERIC CALL to our server. The call will take no more than 4 minutes.

Q: How do I connect my mailing machine to the Online Server?
IJ-70
- Confirm that your mailing machine is connected to an analog phone line.
- From the main mailing machine display, click on NEXT (bottom right).
- Click on MENU (bottom left).
- Click the down arrow to scroll to the ONLINE SERVICES menu listing and click on OK.
- Select GENERIC CALL and click on OK.
- The call should take no more than three minutes.
J-80, IJ-90 & IJ-110
- Confirm that your mailing machine is connected to an analog phone line.
- Press the down arrow to scroll to the ONLINE SERVICES menu listing and touch or click on OK.
- Select GENERIC CALL and press or click on OK.
- The call should take no more than three minutes.
Q: My mailing machine failed to connect / mailing machine was not connected to a phone line. What do I do now?
Nearly all automatic connection calls are scheduled after midnight. Your mailing machine is designed to attempt automatic connection to the server no more than three times each night. The mailing machine will retry after midnight on the following day.
You may initiate a manual connection of the mailing machine to the Server at any time by placing a GENERIC call from the ONLINE SERVICES menu.
Q: How do I confirm that the rates have been downloaded?
After download of the new rates into your mailing machine, a text message confirming the successful download of rates will be placed into the SUPERVISOR mailbox. Follow the instructions below to access the SUPERVISOR mailbox.
IJ-70
Upon power-up or awakening from power save mode, the machine may display an INFO pop-up alert signaling that there is a new message for the supervisor. Follow the steps below to access, read and clear the message.
- From the main mailing machine display, click on NEXT (bottom right).
- You will need to be log on with the supervisor PIN in order to access the supervisor mailbox.
- Click on MENU (bottom left).
- Click the down arrow to scroll to the ONLINE SERVICES menu listing and click on OK.
- Click the down arrow to scroll to MAILBOX SUPERVISOR and click on OK.
- The message will indicate that the new Postal Service rates have been downloaded into the mailing machine.
IJ-80, IJ-90 & IJ-110

If your mailing machine is configured to default to the 1 oz. rate, you can confirm that the new rates are active by the display of the new 1 oz. rate -- $0.42. If your mailing machine is not set up to default to $0.42 follow the steps below.
- From the main mailing machine display, press LOGIN click on NEXT (bottom right).
- Enter the Supervisor PIN at the prompt and press OK.
- Select MENU.
- Scroll down and select REPORTS. Press OK.
- Select MODULE DETAILS and press OK.
- Confirm the Rate Software Version on the MODULE DISPLAY. It should read 0705K.
